April Updates

Additional Fitbit device data are now available in the All of Us Researcher Workbench as part of the first Curated Data Repository (CDR) v7 off-cycle release. With this new data, researchers can now examine the type of Fitbit device used, the date the device was last synced with a Fitbit account, how charged the device approximately was when data were recorded, and more. The slide decks have been updated to reflect this update. Additional updates to the infographics with Fitbit data are coming soon. Use the toolkit below to share this update with your networks.

SAS Studio is now live on the Researcher Workbench. Use the materials below to share this update with your networks. The Researcher Workbench Factsheet and slide decks have also been updated to include SAS.

March Updates

NEW Fitbit Device Data Announcement

An announcement about the Fitbit device data to share in newsletters or to adapt for social media.

Importantly, this allows researchers to account for the differences between devices, such as how steps are counted or whether certain types of data can be collected. Fitbit data can also be analyzed alongside other data types in the Workbench to offer a more complete view of health and disease. Visit the User Support Hub to learn more about using Fitbit device data.

NEW SAS Studio Announcement

An announcement about SAS Studio to share in newsletters or to adapt for social media.

SAS Studio is now available on the All of Us Researcher Workbench. SAS Studio has a point-and-click interface and allows users to perform powerful statistical analyses and data visualizations with All of Us data. Making SAS Studio available could bring more social scientists and public health experts to the platform because they often have higher proficiency with SAS as a programming language, than R or Python. Bringing more researchers to the platform is essential to furthering research that can advance precision medicine. Visit the User Support Hub to learn more about using SAS Studio.

Furthering Research on Heart Disease Infographic

More than 89,000 All of Us participants have heart disease according to electronic health record data. The infographic explores why heart disease is one of the top three areas studied on the Researcher Workbench.

You can customize this on the Asset Portal with state-specific numbers found in the earned media toolkit.

All assets must be edited in the Asset Portal. You may preview files below, but please edit and download them from the Asset Portal. Print versions are shown below, but digital versions are available there.

Heart Disease Earned Media Toolkit

The earned media toolkit offers partners tools to conduct local media outreach about the observance month. It includes data and fast stats by state, a local press release and drop-in article template, a template pitch, and the national article (to be published) for reference.

Note: Since the contents are meant for researcher audiences, the publications being pitched with this information should in-turn target that audience specifically.

Download the toolkit on the Asset Portal.

Heart Disease Social Media Toolkit

The social media toolkit includes messages about how many participants report having heart disease, how many research projects on heart disease are underway, and more. The toolkit also includes posts in Spanish.
